The average full body assessment takes between 15 – 20 minutes per patient and is performed by a trained practitioner.

Early diagnosis of melanomas is critical. If you're unsure whether you need to have a mole or growth on your body professionally attended to, view our  A - E guide below. This easy to follow five step check will help you determine whether you should seek further professional advice about the moles or growths on your skin.

A.  Asymmetry
Compare one half of the mole to the other half to determine whether they are equal in size. Unequal or asymmetrical moles are suspicious.

B. Border
If the border of the mole is irregular, notched, scalloped or indistinct, there is concern.

C. Colour
Any variants in colour with the mole are cause for concern.

D. Diameter
Any mole which is has a diameter larger than a pencil’s eraser is a concern.

E. Elevation
Look for a mole which is elevated or raised from the skin.
